Every woman has a story.
You may not be able to change the beginning of your story but you can create the next chapter of your life.
What do you want the next chapter of your life to look like?
This is the question I asked the women at the personal growth plan party.
One of my goals for 2018 was to host a personal growth plan party. I was able to achieve my goal by deciding what I wanted and creating a blueprint to help me put it into action.
To create the life you were born to live you have to know what you want.
What is a personal growth plan?
I define a personal growth plan as a life plan centered around your core values that aligns with your purpose.
It's important that your plan is centered around who you are and not what you do because goals change but your core values and purpose remain the same.
Why is it important to have a personal growth plan?
Having a plan for your life is important because it helps you to focus on what is a priority. It also allows you to strategically go after what you want.
Knowing what you want and why you want it helps you to use your energy toward the things centered around who you are.
Accountability is imperative as you begin your personal growth plan.
Accountability helps you to accept responsibility for your actions as you begin to work toward your life goals.
It's a good idea to have a personal accountability system as well as someone else who is also working toward their life goals to hold you responsible for completing what you start.
During the growth plan party I partnered each woman with an accountability partner to share their ideal life goals.
Self Discipline is the ability to do what you should do, when you should do it, whether you feel like it or not.
After completing your personal growth plan the real work begins. Staying committed, focused and consistent can sometimes be challenging. This is where self-discipline is needed.
Preparing for what you want helps you to eliminate excuses as you begin to develop the habit of self-discipline.
Because it takes time to develop new habits I strongly suggest having an accountability partner to help you stay on track.
Enjoy the journey and create the life you were born to live.
When you're clear about what you want and have a strategic plan to get there you can enjoy the journey and live your best life!
Here's what some of the ladies said about the personal growth plan party:
How can you start your own personal growth plan?
To get started with creating a plan for your life that will help you to grow and expand your thinking I've created a free 5 day Knock Out Your Goals challenge.
This Goal challenge will help you get your thoughts out of your head, onto paper and empower you to take action toward creating the life you want.
Sharing is caring. Tell a friend so they can begin their personal development journey and you can hold each other accountable.
